Namgyelma is a bodhisattva regarded as Mother of all the Buddhas and as a goddess of longevity. This is one of the most stunning thangkas we have seen, the fruit of 6 months' work, and a truly unique piece. This master artist generally paints only for monasteries and has only produced two pieces commercially. The shading on the body is sublime, combining marble-like texture and otherwordly luminosity, wonderfully contrasting with the incredibly intricate gold etching on the robes.
